Vintage WWI & WWII Era Italian Terni ORA1759 Bayonet w/Steel Scabbard

Description

This is a Vintage WWI & WWII Era Italian Terni ORA1759 Bayonet with a Steel Scabbard.
Features:
1.  11-1/4" Carbon Steel Blade
2.  16-1/4" overall length
3.  Finger guard is stamped with "ORA 1759" in one side and "TERNI" on the other side
4.  The handle is wood and shows a great deal of wear or age (see photos 7 & 8)

The scabbard supplied with this bayonet is believed to be the original, it shows some wear - a few minor dents and some light surface rust
6.  The locking mechanism to attach it to a rifle seems to be in undamaged condition, but we were not able to test it on an actual rifle; so the bayonet is offered "as is" and in the case the bayonet would need some repair to actually lock into place on a rifle would be for the new owner to accomplish at no cost to the seller
7.  The blade edge does not appear to have been sharpened; it appears it could use some honing and has some very light surface pitting (see photos 1& 2)
Note: The bayonet has been wiped down with a clean, soft, dry cloth only and we did not attempt to remove any patina, cleaning will be left to the purchaser.  The bayonet has been handled and stored for some time, but the blade looks not used at all.  Any defects we noticed were listed, but we do not assign a level of condition.  You must see all of the photos which are considered a part of this description (use the eBay zoom-in tool), and make your own decision regarding blade, handle, and scabbard conditions; ask questions for anything you see or don't see before you decide to purchase the bayonet, because once shipped, the bayonet cannot be returned or refunded.
