    Description

    Beautiful 1965 Emme I. Magnin black velvet hat with box and receipt.  The top of the hat has a round seam, so I think it's supposed to be slightly inverted or scrunched like it is in the pictures.
    The hat is in great vintage condition inside and out.  The velvet is incredible.  Very soft, thick, luxurious velvet and hard to believe it's from 1965.  The edges of the back bow are slightly frayed, but that can be trimmed or hemmed.  Besides the label, the hat has some wording on the inside, but the only word I can make out is Germany.  No bad odors, smells nice.
    The hat box is in good vintage condition other than a few darker stains (on the top of the lid and on the side of the box), and a small tear on the bottom.  Also, the box has beiged over the years and has small scraped spots.  The inside has light spots.  Even though it's not pictured there is tissue paper with it.
    The receipt is wrinkled.  The back of it has I. Magnin West Coast store locations at the time.
    The hat is on the smaller side (so 22 1/2" and under size head depending on thickness of hair).  It sits high on the head, but has combs to hold it on.
