The Southern Pacific Coast Line tied California’s early major populations centers together north to south. It was a railfan’s paradise with the colorful SP Daylight trains running at speed right on the Pacific Ocean coast. Of the 52 pages, most are detailed at 10 miles to the page, but the line Burbank Junction into LAUPT is at 5 miles per page. This is a detailed look at this famous main line. There are no branches included in this track chart.
This is a scan of an original Southern Pacific track chart. The included key is a standard SP key. The first 48 pages (SF to Burbank Junction) are all marked “Revised to: January 15, 1980”. The last three pages are marked “Revised to: January 4, 1982”. The last three pages have the page numbers cut off.
