    Best described here by our illustrations, this elusive circa late 1950’s early 1960’s N3B
    Extreme Cold, Snorkel Jacket
    remains in overall pleasing condition while showing good evidence of actual issue with period use.  Not to be confused with the more commonly available later issue examples, this jacket offers the telltale period grey coloration (later examples lean more to a soft
    Army Greene
    ), early U. S. AIR FORCE marking and, most exclusively, the short lived natural wolf fur hood fringe that was quickly replaced by the use of a synthetic fur.   Clearly most appreciated by the history oriented collector, veterans of a winter, wind-swept, SAC bomber flight line will recognize the stitched on reflective tape as a requirement.  Ready to display as is, a proper dry cleaning will add to the eye appeal of this scarce Air Force jacket.
