Infantry officer's sword-knot of the model of 1798. The infantry sword was the main cold weapon of officers of the Russian army and navy
that's why
this sword-knot was very common: it was also used in the cavalry (in 1803 it was ordered "to wear sword-knots with a round brush on a silver band with an admixture of orange and black silks in the form of infantry"). Judging by pictorial sources, until the mid-1810s, officers of hussar and horse-jaeger regiments also wore similarsword-knots.
Especially for a long time this sword-knot lingered in the navy (it was worn with a naval officer saber of the 1855 model).
In addition to the fleet, a similar sword-knot was used to wear civilian ranks with swords: it was called "civilian" and relied on all civilian ranks of the military department with a sword (with the exception of class paramedics).
The ribbon is silver metallized, with two black-orange gaps made of silk thread. The dungeon acorn is also made of orange-black filament, braided along the top with a silver canopy. Copy of excellent quality, indistinguishable from the original.

Темляк для офицерской пехотной шпаги образца 1798 года. Поскольку пехотная шпага была основным холодным оружием офицеров российской армии и флота (и без темляка холодное оружие носить не полагалось), этот темляк был очень распространенным: он находил применение и в кавалерии (в 1803 году было повелено "на (кавалерийских) шпагах носить темляки с круглою кистью на серебряной тесьме с примесью оранжевого и черного шелков по образцу пехотных"). Судя по изобразительным источникам, до середины 1810-х годов аналогичные темляки носили также офицеры гусарских и конно-егерских полков.
Особенно долго данный темляк задержался на флоте (его носили с морской офицерской саблей образца 1855 года).
Кроме флота, аналогичный темляк использовался для ношения со шпагами гражданских чинов: он именовался "гражданским" и полагался при шпаге всем гражданским чинам военного ведомства (за исключением классных фельдшеров).
Полотно ленты темляка серебряное металлизированное, с двумя черно-оранжевыми просветами из шелковой нити. Желудь темляка также из оранжево-черной нити, оплетенный по верху серебряной канителью.
Копия превосходного качества, внешне неотличимая от оригинала.
Подойдет как для комплектования коллекционной шашки, так и для исторической реконструкции или кино.
