RHINOCEROS UNIQUE UNUSUAL FIGURE FIGURINE TOY

Description

For sale is a unique Rhinoceros figure. He appears to have some age on him and I’m not quite sure of the construction. Some stiff, hard material is the base, then the animal is covered entirely with another material (some paper or fabric?), then painted. The eyes are glass. The material is peeling away in spots; most apparent on the underside – please look well at pictures. The horn must have been covered in something else as it has peeled away leaving the under material. The ears are missing, the tail is here. In spite of it’s issues, it’s a very interesting, commanding depiction of a rhinoceros as you can see. A lot of character and modeling of the skin has gone into creating him.
