RAILROAD - FRISCO SYSTEM - INFO SHEET - MIKADO (2-8-2) TYPE LOCOMOTIVE
"During 1923 the Frisco System ordered Mikado type locomotives for use in handling though freight traffic. These engines proved to be so successful that repeat orders followed until there were sixty-five locomotives of the same general design in operation on this railroad. During 1930 twenty additional Mikados were delivered." Offered today is a single double sided information sheet about the statistics of the Mikado (2-8-2) Type Locomotive. The sheet is approximately 9" by 12" and has a black and white photograph of the engine at the top of the page. The General Dimensions are at the bottom of the page. The builder of these locomotives was the Baldwin Locomotive Works. I could not find a date on this sheet. A tiny bit of aging and wear, otherwise I would consider condition as very good.
