The real deal!
Up for consideration is a new, never-used, Fallout Shelter metal sign.
This is a genuine U.S. Department of Defense sign.
This is the real deal.  It is not a reproduction.  Straight from the Cold War.
This sign is a Type 2 version.  Produced in 1962.
Manufactured by the Alfray Products company of Coshocton, Ohio.
Exactly 14" tall by 10" wide.  The weight is 11.3 ounces, so this is a stout sign.
On galvanized steel.  Has four factory pre-punched holes required for mounting nails or screws.
At the bottom is printed:
"DOD FS No. 2  (Not to be reproduced or used without Department of Defense Permission)"
This sign is one from an unopened box of 40 identical signs.  Never in the light of day since being printed and shipped in the early 1960s until this week.
Exactly as unpackaged.  Comes with one sheet of waxy paper that was packaged between each sign.  No cleaning or polishing whatsoever.  Exactly as unpackaged.

one sign, one newspaper clipping copy and one sheet of the waxy separation paper.
