  • Condition: Good Condition. The brass buckle shows a uniform dark patina with some verdigris. Belt shows heavy wear, with surface cracking, but is pliable. The thin white leather lining has been removed and the belt was shortened by adding extra punched holes, likely for Red Guards use. One D-ring is present. See photos.

    Brown leather belt with PLA officer's brass buckle. Thick brown leather exterior. The thin white leather lining was removed. One D-ring is attached. Type 1955 Chinese PLA (People's Liberation Army) issue. This type was also used by Chinese People's Volunteers (PVA) in Korea from 1955-1958 (when re-fitted with a plain raised star center). This type of belt was also worn occasionally with the 1965 uniform, and by some Red Guards. The belt was shortened by adding extra punched holes, probably for Red Guards use. See final 2 reference images (not included). Length, as configured: approx. 72 cm (28.3 inches). Total length (including buckle) is about 104 cm (41 inches); width of belt is 4.8 cm (1 7/8 inches).
