    Description

In very good condition. This is a Top-Quality CD of 290 train order images from the Central of Georgia Railway. These train order images cover the entire CofG system. Included is one station list, the first picture, listing all locations and the number of train order images from each location.
Also included is a small timetable compendium of 10 timetables, 8 employee and 2 public, covering the entire CofG system in great detail. These timetables are:
    CofG COLUMBUS DIV. #3   5-10-1965  (16)
    CofG COLUMBUS DIV. #4   4-30-1967  (16)
    CofG COLUMBUS DIV. #10-C    5-3-1953  (11)
    CofG COLUMBUS DIV. #30    4-2-1944  (11)
    CofG MACON DIV. #24  12-15-1939  (19)
    CofG MACON DIV. #33   4-29-1962  (15)
CofG MACON DIV. ATLANTA DIST. #6   7-24-1963   (3)
CofG MACON DIV. ATLANTA DIST. #38  12-12-1946   (4)
    CofG SYSTEM PTT  12-15-1936  (12)
CofG SYSTEM PTT WINTER   1961-1962  (12)
There are 119 total timetable images, both public and employee, so you can see where each location was, with respect to the others. This was a very busy Railroad, and was finally merged into the Southern Railway on June 1, 1971, after years of being operated separately as s subsidiary of the Southern Railway. All of these orders are on Central Of Georgia Railway Form 19 and Form 31 train order forms. The Central Of Georgia Railway was operated by train order and timetable authority until the Southern Ry. merged it on the date in 1971. Much of it remained train-order territory even after the merger with Southern Railway.
There are 63 different CofG train order locations represented here, with at least one train order image from each location. Ages of the orders range from 1923 to 1970.
Included are images of a few clearance cards which accompanied the train orders. If I had complete sets, and all orders were readable, I included the clearance card to make the set complete image-wise as well.
The 12 pictures shown are just a sampling of the quantity and variety of locations and operations unique to this long piece of Railroad.A concerted effort has been made, to give the best (some enhanced) images possible. There is a grand total of 410 images included.
The train orders in this CD show many engine numbers, operators' names, track conditions, operating procedures, and all kinds of meets and flag orders, all consistent with train-order operation. This is some of the best Railroad reading anywhere. Please review my other 80-plus train order CD's and be confident you are getting equally top-quality items, from many other Railroads.
Very nice items that are obsolete and no longer used by any Railroad.
