Description
Your bid is for a B&M BULLETIN, Volume 30, Number 2, published by the B&MRRHS, INC. in 2017 with Andrew M. Wilson as editor. This issue measures 21.5 by 27.8 cm and contains the usual 40 pages. The front cover photo depicts the ancient ball signal at Bellows Falls in 1963 in the final year of its existence. WHITE FLAGS asks “What to do about Keolis?” and then goes on to discuss Pan Am problems, Springfield Union Station, and the end of the circus trains. New Locomotives, new trains is a page with 2 photos showing the ex-CSX C40-8’s in service and the Poland Spring water containers on the move. CONSISTS: FROM THE CAR BOOKS OF CONDUCTOR FORREST E. STAPLES, By COL (Ret.) Tom E. Thompson features 10 pages on who, what and when as our intrepid crew operates: “B&M Train No.72 from White River Jct., Vt., to Springfield, Mass., Sunday, August 24, 1952”. As you would expect the author left out no details in this report that contains a timetable page, 10 photographs and 2 psgr car interior layout drawings. The Conn River: The Trunk of the Tree –2. THE CONN RIVER: COLORFUL RAILROADING by Scott Whitney continues on from the previous BULLETIN on 24 pages, including the colorful rear cover. There are 9 photos in color, 25 in black & white, and a large track layout of W R JCT spread over 2 pages. The three “Form19” train orders shown I found to be excellent examples of the craft. The coming of CTC is explained on how this only reduced the number of orders and operators, but a complex system remained. Scott did a great job of pulling all this information together in two BULLETINS. “focalpoint EXTRA:” The Last Circus Train has four color photos of the “Red Unit” on former B&M rails for the last hurrah, as it is pulled by four PAR Engines with No.1 on the headpin. This magazine is in unread, new-old-stock, nearly as-published condition.Your satisfaction guaranteed. Please see my other eBay auctions for more rare and scarce railroad paper. I provide personal service without silly eBay games like waiting for payment before shipping, mandated payment methods, clumsy communications and charging for return shipping. Please check my feedback and DSR's. Everything I sell is POSTPAID USA, so the winning bid is what you pay, plus eBay’s state tax if applicable, unless you want special services. I normally ship first day after auction ends IF I have a payment plan & a proper shipping address, or you are a recent previous buyer. Thank you for reading.
