    Description

Your bid is for a B&M BULLETIN, Volume 30, Number 1, published by the B&MRRHS, INC. in 2017 with Andrew M. Wilson as editor. This issue measures 21.5 by 27.8 cm and contains the usual 40 pages. The front cover photo is SJ-1 on the West Claremont High Bridge circa 1975. WHITE FLAGS allows the editor to contemplate: “The B&M’s Future: Short Line Empire, or Class 1?” The new look on the Boston & Maine is a page with photos of the new stations at Wachusett, Littleton and South Acton. CONSISTS: FROM THE CAR BOOKS OF CONDUCTOR DOUGLAS M. RICE, By COL (Ret.) Tom E. Thompson details “B&M Train No.79 from Springfield, Mass. To White River Jct. Vt., Thursday, January 18, 1951”. And I mean details as this article fills 10 pages, and includes 11 period photos. Most instructive to me is Scott Whitney’s track layout of Springfield Union Station back in the days when I used to hang out there in the mid-1950’s. Activity never stopped. The Conn River: The Trunk of the Tree – THE CONN RIVER: COLORFUL RAILROADING by Scott Whitney is next and the only other feature article in this edition. It covers 25 pages, including the rear cover, and there is a full-page map along with 11 photos in color, plus 28 more in black and white. Safe to write that most have not been published before. The author made notes in the text so you can use the bibliography on page 38 to look up more information if you wish. A most excellent BULLETIN, but don’t take my word for it! This magazine is in unread, new-old-stock, nearly as-published condition.
Your satisfaction guaranteed. Please see my other eBay auctions for more rare and scarce railroad paper. I provide personal service without silly eBay games like waiting for payment before shipping, mandated payment methods, clumsy communications and charging for return shipping. Please check my feedback and DSR's. Everything I sell is POSTPAID USA, so the winning bid is what you pay, plus eBay’s state tax if applicable, unless you want special services. I normally ship first day after auction ends IF I have a payment plan & a proper shipping address, or you are a recent previous buyer. Thank you for reading.
