    Description

Your bid is for a B&M BULLETIN, Volume 28, Number 1, published by the Boston & Maine Railroad Historical Society, Inc. in 2011, with Andrew M. Wilson as editor. This issue measures 21.6 by 27.9 cm and contains the usual 40 pages. The front cover helps celebrate the B&MRRHS's 40th Anniversary with a selection of covers from past editions. WHITE FLAGS explores that theme with text on one page and then goes on to describe exciting current developments in former B&M territory on the next two pages. E&A concerns Manchester, New Hampshire, and a 4100 memory. “focalpoint” contains 21 photographs, some full page, spread over 13 pages, and as advertised, is ALL STEAM! All black and white, with reproduction being quite good and locales and format nicely varied. THE RAZING OF THE CONCORD, N.H., DEPOT by Andrew M. Wilson, with Photos by A.W. Holt, from the collections of the New Hampshire Historical Society (except where noted). Herewith our editor details this historical crime over 5 pages that include 11 photographs, all in color. Sad, but true. Manchester Part 2.5 -- IMAGES OF MANCHESTER, N.H. as selected by Richard K. Hurst. There are 21 photographs, all black and white with usually 2 or 3 to a page, representing the era from 1953 to 1980, so no steam to be found here. But Budd cars, various diesels, and even the British Leyland Railbus LEV2 are depicted over these 10 pages. A BOSTON & MAINE CHRONOLOGY, 1900-1945: Boston & Maine Railroad, 1945-Present by Richard K. Hurst devotes its 5 pages to the years 1963 and 1964. PAR Gets in the Ethanol Business -- EAST BOSTON BRANCH REVIVAL by Don Lejeune details the ongoing changes to the seemingly abandoned former B&M branch from Revere going westward into East Boston. The 2 page article includes 4 photos in color. Late 2013 news was that the ethanol project was cancelled. Branch status unknown. The rear cover features that now famous maroon and gold PAR heritage unit No.77, born so many years ago as B&M 1738.  In color, of course. This magazine is in unread, as-published, new-old-stock condition purchased direct from the B&MRRHS.
Your satisfaction guaranteed. Please see my other eBay auctions for more rare and scarce railroad paper. I provide personal service without silly eBay games like waiting for payment before shipping, mandated payment methods, clumsy communications and charging for return shipping. Please check my feedback and DSR's. Everything I sell is POSTPAID USA, so the winning bid is what you pay, plus eBay’s state tax if applicable, unless you want special services. I normally ship first day after auction ends IF I have a payment plan & a proper shipping address, or you are a recent previous buyer. Thank you for reading.
