Antique 1891 Union Pacific Railway Company Audited Expense Vouchers Paid Book
This is an extremely scarce find. It really should be in a museum in  my opinion. Union Pacific Railway in the 70's transferred these books
to microfiche and then burned all of the hard copies. A few employee's were able to acquire one before they were destroyed.
The retired employee this came from stated that he believes there are as few as 10-20 of these still in i
gsistance
but I have no way
to substantiate this claim.
The book is very fragile and the cover boards are barely attached. Understandable for a heavily used 130 year old book of this size
and weight. It measures about 11x 9 x 2 1/2 and weighs over 5 lbs. It is loaded with interesting documentation from 1891 of expenses paid by The Union Pacific Railway Company for everything and anything. Settlements against them for deaths, paid damages, cattle and livestock being killed by trains. Please review the pictures and ask any questions before bidding. This book is very fragile and being sold as is.
I can find no history of a book like this being sold before. I doubt I will ever find one again.
