    Description

    The St. Louis & Southwestern Railway Company (SLSW), better known as the "Cotton Belt", was a regional railroad serving portions of Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Missouri and Texas. It was acquired by the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1992. ​ The Pittsburgh & West Virginia Railway (P&WV)served the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Wheeling, West Virginia areas. It operated between 1904-1964 and carried primarily coal and materials to/from area steel mills. It was acquired by the Norfolk & Western Railway in 1964, and surviving trackage is now part of Norfolk Southern. For auction are two debit checks from the SLSW for interline charges with the P&WV, One is from 1958, the other 1960.
