Description
Up for auction is a 1950s vintage US Army cotton khaki shirt that appears to have been manufactured in 1958. The shirt is in overall great condition, with just a few tiny holes- I suspect that this is from where pins were stuck in the shirt by the original owner. It is also quite wrinkled, but an iron or dry cleaning should be able to fix that right up.The patches on the shirt are NOT original to the shirt, but are WWII original. Due to the similarity in the design of the uniform to a WWII shirt, the patches were applied to the shirt, which was lightly used in a WWII tribute display at a local museum.
The shirt is marked as being size 16x34. Some other approximate measurements are as follows:
Sleeve length: 24 inches
Overall length: 32 inches
Chest width: 18.5 inches
I have described this shirt as accurately as I can. If you have any questions, concerns, or would like any further information on this item, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Thanks for looking, and happy bidding!
