The first two sided page from a scrapbook made by a woman who took a train trip from the East to the American West in 1934 (the same year President Roosevelt took a western train trip). Note says she travelled from Cleveland Ohio to Chicago on the Nickle Plate Railroad and on to Chicago on the Empire Builder. Great Northern Burlington Route Empire Builder memorabilia. A fantastic like new booklet on the Empire Builder, profusely illustrated, in wonderful condition. 16 pages plus wraps and is about 4 3/4 inches by 7 1/4 inches. Small Burlington Road map. 5 Pullman company passenger checks to identify accommodations purchased: 2 are Cody to Denver, one from Billings Montana to Gardener Montana, one from Chicago to Glacier Park, the last from the New York, Chicago And St. Louis R.R. Company. A North Coast Limited Northern Pacific schedule with handwritten notes and trip costs.
