You are looking at the cover of the January 1917 edition of The Designer. This was an American women’s magazine founded in 1887 and it ran through 1926. It was one of the first magazines in America to cater to women. This wonderful piece of advertising history has been professionally matted and framed behind glass to keep it in great condition. The print has become slightly turned off center in the frame and the edge where the binding was at one point is starting to show. The print its self is in excellent condition for its age. This particular issue was illustrated by EMMreman. The frame is vintage and in great condition as well as the glass and matte. There are no issues I can see with these items. I do not know the maker or exact date the frame was made. The frame measures 20 1/8 inches tall, 16 1/8 inches side to side and 1 ¼ inches front to back. It weighs 5 pounds.
