    A rare CB&Q (CB&N) piece, from 1891, is this original "Slate Drawings For The Young Folks Compliments of the Burlington". Given to children making passage on Burlington trains, each page of slate drawings is accompanied by some advertising language obviously meant for mom and dad. There is also some descriptive language regarding the region being traveled and its history. The Chicago, Burlington and Northern was a subsidiary of the "Q" and was folded into the parent company in 1899. A very unique piece in wonderful condition.
